The Board of Supervisors meets in the Boardroom on the second floor of the County Administration Building, 913 South Dubuque Street, Iowa City, unless otherwise noted. Meeting agendas, packets, minutes, audio, and video are available here. All Board of Supervisors meetings are open to the public, with the exception of closed sessions to cover situations allowable by Iowa Code (e.g., discussions on litigation or employee performance). Meeting agendas are physically posted outside the Boardroom a minimum of 24 hours in advance of a meeting, in accordance with Iowa Code, and may be changed until posted.
The Board typically holds work sessions on Wednesdays at 9:00 a.m., and formal meetings on Thursdays at 9:00 a.m., with the exception of the second Thursday of each month, when the meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. Meetings may be scheduled on a different day of the week to accommodate holidays.
