Youth Group Camp Reservation Packet
F.W. Kent Park offers six open shelters. Photos and additional information about the shelters available for reservation can be found below. There is no electricity at any of the shelters. Latrines are within walking distance from all of these shelters. Only Bob White and Red Haw Shelters have water hydrants near by.
Shelters Fees:
$50/day
$150/day for groups larger that 100 and/or weddings
Payment:
Cash, check, or credit card. Credit cards with be charged an additional 3.35% handling fee
Blue Bird Shelter
20' x 40' in size, 8 picnic tables, and a large standup charcoal grill. Large playground near by. Shelter capacity of 90 people.
Deer Run Shelter
20' x 70' in size, 10 picnic tables, a large standup charcoal grill. Playground located across the parking area from this shelter. Shelter capacity is 90 people.
Bob White Shelter
40' hexagon shaped shelter, 12 picnic tables, a large standup grill, hard surface accessibility from the parking area. Shelter capacity is 120 people.
Red Haw Shelter
40' hexagon shaped shelter, 12 picnic tables, a large standup grill, hard surface accessibility from parking area. Shelter capacity 150 people
Picnic tables and standup charcoal grills are also available throughout the park.
YOUTH GROUP CAMP
The Youth Group Camp is available for organized youth groups for day and/or overnight use. A large enclosed shelter building and five campsites are available by permit use only. A latrine is located near the shelter. Call (319) 645-2315 for reservations.
