The Johnson County Board of Supervisors is accepting applications for one vacancy on the Iowa City Assessor Examining Board for residents living in Iowa City to serve a six-year term beginning upon appointment and ending December 31, 2028.

The “First Draft” of a proposed village plan and a set of potential village boundaries for Windham are ready for public review and comment. The documents were prepared by Johnson County Planning, Development and Sustainability (PDS) Department staff following two community meetings and other input opportunities for Windham area residents, property owners and any interested persons. PDS staff is coordinating the planning effort at the direction of the Johnson County Board of Supervisors.

The first installment of Johnson County property and mobile home taxes was due on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2022. Payments must be delivered to the Treasurer’s Office, paid online, or postmarked by Friday, Sept. 30, 2022, to avoid a 1 ½ percent monthly penalty that will begin on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2022.
In-person payments must be made at the Treasurer’s Office, located on the first floor of the Johnson County Administration Building, 913 S. Dubuque St. in Iowa City. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
