Johnson County accepting applications for Hunger Relief Grants

Johnson County is accepting grant applications to fund services that help reduce food insecurity and improve access to healthy food for residents living in or near food deserts, those who lack access to transportation, and homebound residents, in addition to programs that provide locally grown produce for food-insecure households.

Johnson County celebrates Older Americans Month, ‘Champion Your Health’ in May

May is Older Americans Month and this year’s theme, “Champion Your Health,” focuses on prevention, wellness, and personal responsibility as cornerstones of healthy aging.

“Older Americans Month is an opportunity to celebrate aging while also investing in the health and well-being of our community,” said Jeff Kellbach, Aging Specialist. “We’re proud to offer events throughout the month that encourage connection, lifelong learning, wellness, and fun.”

Johnson County Planning and Zoning Commission vacancy

The Johnson County Board of Supervisors announces one vacancy on the Johnson County Planning and Zoning Commission for a resident of unincorporated Johnson County. The vacancy is to fill a term beginning upon appointment and ending Dec. 31, 2027.
