Maier Avenue SW over Picayune Creek will be closed for bridge reconstruction on March 23

Weather permitting, the Maier Avenue SW bridge over Picayune Creek will be closed to traffic starting Monday, March 23, 2026. This location is approximately 0.65 miles south of Bayertown Road SW in Liberty Township.

Work includes complete bridge reconstruction, approach roadway, and grading.

Construction is anticipated to be completed by the middle of June 2026. Peterson Contractors, Inc. of Reinbeck, Iowa, is the prime contractor.
