Johnson County property owners are reminded that the second installment of property and mobile home taxes is due Saturday, March 1, 2025. Payments need to be delivered to the Treasurer’s Office, paid online or postmarked by Monday, March 31, 2025, to avoid a 1 ½ percent monthly penalty that will begin on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.

In-person payments must be made at the Treasurer’s Office, located at the Johnson County Administration Building at 913 S. Dubuque St. in Iowa City. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Johnson County Board of Supervisors requests proposals from nonprofit organizations and government entities to lease and manage the 15-unit property at 1102 Hollywood Boulevard in Iowa City.

Proposals should ensure the completion of a 20-year affordability period and demonstrate financial stability, experience with grant compliance, and a tenant selection process that supports Johnson County’s goal of reducing housing access barriers for tenants.

Renovations to the existing Cangleska Wakan Celebration Barn, including primarily interior renovations to the existing Celebration Barn, including complete catering prep kitchen remodel including equipment, interior demolition, plumbing, electrical, and electrical service, mechanical and architectural finishes. Minor improvements to the exterior are included as needed including electrical service replacement.
