Good quality soil absorbs more water and provides the nutrients that a lawn needs to be healthy. The result is a reduced need for watering, fertilizers and pesticides, with less runoff and fewer pollutants entering local streams.

The Board of Supervisors will discuss the draft Johnson County Strategic Plan at a special work session at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24. The discussion will be facilitated by consulting firm BerryDunn, who worked with Johnson County to create the new plan.
