Funding available for programs that provide early childhood support through Johnson County Empowerment/Early Childhood Iowa

The Johnson County Empowerment/Early Childhood Iowa Area Board has funds available for programs that provide support to families with children aged 0-5, and pregnant individuals.

Funds are to be used to positively impact children in Johnson County in one of the following areas:

Second installment of property taxes due, late payment penalties begin April 1, 2022

Johnson County property owners are reminded that the second installment of property and mobile home taxes are due Tuesday, March 1, 2022. Payments need to be delivered to the Treasurer’s Office, paid online or postmarked by Thursday, March 31, 2022, to avoid a 1 ½ percent monthly penalty that will begin on Friday, April 1, 2022.

Johnson County and community partners bring lifesaving technology to the area via PulsePoint, a 9-1-1 integrated mobile app

On Monday, Feb. 14, 2022, the Johnson County Ambulance Service (JCAS), in partnership with the Rotary-Kerber HeartSafe Community Campaign, announced the adoption of PulsePoint in Johnson County to further the commitment to creating a healthy and civically-engaged community.
