Johnson County begins annual budgeting process for fiscal year 2026
Each year, the Johnson County Board of Supervisors, coordinating with other County elected officials and department heads, conducts a thorough budgeting process to create the County’s budget for the upcoming fiscal year. The public is invited to attend all meetings.

Johnson County Planning, Development and Sustainability Department closed part of the day on Dec. 4, 2024
The Johnson County Planning, Development and Sustainability Department will be closed for business from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, while staff participate in a training.

The department will resume normal business hours at 1:30 p.m.

Most Johnson County governmental offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 28, and Friday, Nov. 29, 2024, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
Detailed schedule changes and other office closures include:
Ambulance: Johnson County Ambulance Service (JCAS) will be available for routine and emergency response. The JCAS billing and administrative offices will be closed. Emergency services remain available 365 days a year. In an emergency, residents should always dial 911.
