Presidents Day 2025 hours for Johnson County governmental offices
Most Johnson County governmental offices will be closed on Monday, Feb. 17, 2025, in observance of Presidents Day.
Detailed schedule changes and other office closures include:
Ambulance: Johnson County Ambulance Service (JCAS) will be available for routine and emergency response. The JCAS billing and administrative offices will be closed. Emergency services remain available 365 days a year. In an emergency, residents should always dial 911.

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program provides free tax preparation services for low-to-moderate income residents, thanks to trained volunteers from the Johnson County Social Services Department. These services will be available until April 9, 2025.

Judicial Magistrate Appointing Commission vacancy
The Johnson County Board of Supervisors announces one vacancy on the Johnson County Judicial Magistrate Appointing Commission to fill a six-year term beginning upon appointment and expiring Dec. 31, 2026.
Responsibilities include interviewing and appointing Judicial Magistrates. After appointment, the commission must certify to the Clerk of Courts and Chief Judge the name and addresses of the magistrates appointed. This commission meets on an as-needed basis to interview and appoint and/or reappoint Judicial Magistrates for Johnson County.
