Telecommunications Access Iowa helps individuals get specialized telecommunications equipment at little to know cost. Qualified individuals who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, or have difficulty speaking can receive a voucher for approximately 95-99 percent of the average cost of specialized equipment that aids them in communicating over the telephone. Amplified phones, iPads, and accessories are available to purchase through this voucher.

We are a non-profit HOME Program under the Iowa Finance Authority. Solon Community Housing Corp. apartments provides housing for lower-income households. We have 20 non-smoking units, with both 1 and 2 bedroom apartments. We are conveniently located 10 miles north of Iowa City, Iowa, in Johnson County.  Solon provides a good location for tenants to live in a smaller community and easily commute in less than twenty minutes to the Veterans Hospital and the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

We assist in planning, packing, and unpacking a move, as well as with personal assistance, cleaning and organizing services, errand running, paperwork management, bill paying, budgeting, and clutter control. We provide transportation services for household items that are no longer needed and can be consigned, donated, or recycled.
