NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF JOHNSON COUNTY, IOWA,
PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION FOR THE PURPOSE OF HEARING
REZONING AND PLATTING APPLICATIONS

TO all owners of real estate within Johnson County, Iowa, and without the corporate limits of any city within said County, and to all persons owning or claiming an interest therein, TO WHOM IT MAY OTHERWISE CONCERN:

YOU AND EACH OF YOU are hereby notified that the Planning & Zoning Commission of Johnson County, Iowa, will conduct a Public Hearing in the Second Floor Boardroom, Johnson County Administration Building, 913 South Dubuque St., Iowa City, Iowa, at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, November 8, 2021 at which time and place said Commission will consider various development applications.

YOU AND EACH OF YOU ARE FURTHER HEREBY NOTIFIED AS FOLLOWS:

  1. Public Hearing on Subdivision Application PZC-21-28054 of AV Investments, LLC, requesting preliminary plat approval of 965 Corridor Commercial Subdivision. The request is on property described as Lot 3 of S and K Subdivision Part II being located in the SE ¼ of the SE ¼ of Section 8 and the NE ¼ of the NE ¼ of Section 17, all in Township 81 North, Range 7 West of the 5th P.M. in Johnson County, Iowa. The property is situated on the west side of Highway 965 NW, at its intersection with 140th Street NW, in Jefferson Township.
  2. Public Hearing on Subdivision Application PZC-21-28109 of Jay and McKenzie Buline, requesting preliminary and final plat approval of Buline Subdivision. The request is on property described as Lot 2 of Moore Second Subdivision being located in the N ½ of the NE ¼ of Section 32, and the S ½ of the SE ¼ of Section 29, all in Township 79 North, Range 7 West of the 5th P.M. in Johnson County, Iowa. The property is situated on the north side of Black Diamond Road SW, approximately 1,200 feet east of its intersection with Half Moon Ave SW, in Union Township.
  3. Public Hearing on Subdivision Application PZC-21-28112 of Andrew Ahrens, requesting preliminary plat approval of Oak Meadow. The request is on property located in the S ½ of the SW ¼ of Section 15, Township 81 North, Range 6 West of the 5th P.M. in Johnson County, Iowa. The property is situated on the south side of Highway 382 NE between its intersections with Ely Road NE and Polk Ave NE, in Big Grove Township.
  4. Public Hearing on Zoning Application PZC-21-28128 of Merle Miller, requesting rezoning of 1.72 acres from A-Agricultural and R-Residential to R-Residential. The request is on property located in the SE ¼ of the SE ¼ of Section 25, Township 78 North, Range 8 West of the 5th P.M. in Johnson County, Iowa. The property is situated on the north side of 560th Street SW, approximately 400 feet west of its intersection with Highway 1 SW, in Washington Township.
  5. Public Hearing on Subdivision Application PZC-21-28129 of Merle Miller, preliminary and final plat approval of Merle Miller Subdivision. The request is located in the SE ¼ of the SE ¼ of Section 25, Township 78 North, Range 8 West of the 5th P.M. in Johnson County, Iowa. The property is situated on the north side of 560th Street SW, approximately 400 feet west of its intersection with Highway 1 SW, in Washington Township
  6. Public Hearing on Subdivision Application PZC-21-28130 of James and Mary Loan, requesting preliminary and final plat approval of Cottonwood Creek Addition. The request is on property located in the NE ¼ of the NE ¼ of Section 5, Township 78 North, Range 5 West of the 5th P.M. in Johnson County, Iowa. The property is situated on the west side of Utah Avenue SE, approximately 4,000 feet south of its intersection with Highway 6 SE, in Pleasant Valley Township.
  7. Public Hearing on Subdivision Application PZC-21-28132 of Lucille Duwa, requesting preliminary and final plat approval of L & L Duwa Acres Subdivision. The request is on property located in the SW ¼ of the SW ¼ of Section 1, Township 78 North, Range 7 West of the 5th P.M. in Johnson County, Iowa. The property is situated on the east side of Lackender Avenue SW, approximately 970 feet north of its intersection with 480th Street SW, in Sharon Township.
