Marriage records begin at the year 1839. Certified copies are $15 and only available to entitled parties (i.e. person named on record, parents, children, spouses, siblings, grandparents). Individuals requesting a marriage record must prove entitlement by showing proper identification. Marriage events from 1954—“current day” can be issued in any county. Marriage events from 1839—1953 must be obtained through the county where the license to marry was issued.
