Veterans Day 2023 hours announced for Johnson County governmental offices

Most Johnson County governmental offices will be closed on Friday, Nov. 10, 2023, in observance of Veterans Day.

Detailed schedule changes include:

Ambulance: Johnson County Ambulance Service (JCAS) will be available for routine and emergency response. The JCAS billing and administrative offices will be closed. Emergency services remain available 365 days a year. In an emergency, residents should always dial 911.

The Treasurer's Office is temporarily moving locations and will be closing at 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 3

The Johnson County Treasurer’s Office will be moving to the Health & Human Services Building (HHS Building), 855 S. Dubuque St., Iowa City, while construction takes place in the Administration Building, 913 S. Dubuque St., Iowa City.

Detailed schedule changes include:

Treasurer’s Office: The Treasurer’s Office will be closed to the public starting at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 3 and will reopen in its new location on the third floor of the HHS Building on Monday, Nov. 6.

The Planning, Development and Sustainability Department is temporarily moving locations and will be closed Oct. 30 and possibly Oct. 31

The Johnson County Planning, Development and Sustainability (PDS) Department will be moving to the Health & Human Services Building (HHS Building), 855 S. Dubuque St., Iowa City, while construction takes place in the Administration Building, 913 S. Dubuque St., Iowa City.

Detailed schedule changes include:

PDS Department: The PDS Department will be closed to the public on Monday, Oct. 30 and possibly Tuesday, Oct. 31, and will reopen in its new location on the third floor of the HHS Building on Wednesday, Nov. 1.
