Since 1983, the Free Lunch Program (FLP) has been providing "an open door, full plate, no questions asked." Over 900 volunteers on 36 different serving teams from the Iowa City/Coralville area, and from communities as far as 60 miles away, take turns providing the noon meal 6 days a week. (Additional volunteers are sometimes needed; contact the FLP volunteer coordinator for information on volunteer opportunities.) Volunteers use their own food, donated food obtained via Table to Table Food Distribution Network, and/or low-cost food purchased by the FLP from the HACAP Food Reservoir.

Everyday Helper was created to serve the community with a special focus of helping seniors to live as independently as they can for as long as possible.

We offer personalized assistance so you don't have to leave the comfort of your home.

We offer the following services:

-Household assistance-  cleaning, decluttering, and organizing, laundry, dishes, etc.

-Errand running- pharmacy runs, grocery story pick ups, etc.

-Senior non medical companion care

-Dog walking and pet sitting

Fifty-four full-size, one-bedroom apartments with large kitchen and bathroom. 100% handicapped accessible. Private dining room, library, computer learning center, three-seasons porch, and patio. 

Rents start at $675.00 per month depending on availability.

Meals on Wheels helps older adults and persons with disabilities in Eastern Iowa meet their daily nutritional needs by delivering hot, fresh, ready-to-eat meals in addition to frozen meals and breakfast bags.

Our clients can receive meals for a short duration while they’re recovering from a hospital stay, as respite care for their family who usually provides meals for them, or on an ongoing basis each weekday.

Eighty-one apartments: 71 one-bedroom apartments with 530 square feet (estimated), and 10 studio apartments with 450 square feet (estimated). Of these 81, eight are mobility accessible apartments. Gas and electric utilities are included in the rent as well as wi-fi. A telephone and cable television is available at the tenant's expense. Reserved covered parking space is available in the lower level of the Iowa Avenue parking ramp. There is a central laundry facility and large community room for social events and family gatherings.

DVIP serves victims of domestic abuse, their children and non-offending family or friends. DVIP provides the following crisis intervention and violence prevention services: The DVIP 24-Hour Hotline is available to victims of domestic abuse, their children, family and friends for crisis intervention, support, information and referral. DVIP provides paid staff and volunteers to assist victims 24 hours/7 days a week. In addition, DVIP has access to the Language Line.

Diamond Senior Apartments have a beautiful interior anyone will enjoy! Each unit has a private 2 bedroom sanctuary, 5 minuets away from downtown! Some of our units are one bedroom. Each unit is equip with a spacious living room, master bedroom, kitchen, large bathroom and many extra closets. Our large windows brighten up each unit and our building is wheelchair accessible! Each unit has their own washer and dryer, dish washer and internet! In addition to our spacious units, we have a exercise room an activity area and a lobby where our residents meet every day!
