Weather permitting, the Bayertown Road SW bridge over a branch of Picayune Creek will be closed to traffic beginning Monday, March 16, 2026. This location is approximately five miles west/southwest of Hills, in Sharon Township. 

Primary work on this bridge was completed in the fall of 2025. The remaining work will be completed this spring, including final grading, guardrail, bridge approach pavement and road surfacing.

The remaining work is anticipated to be completed by the end of April 2026. Iowa Bridge & Culvert LC of Washington, Iowa, is the prime contractor.
