Johnson County is hosting a free breakfast for bicycle commuters and recreational riders from 7 to 9 a.m. on Tuesday, May 12, at the patio just south of the Johnson County Administration Building, 913 S. Dubuque St. in Iowa City.

The breakfast will include locally made empanadas, coffee, juice and fruit. Free trail maps, bike tip sheets and bike pins will also be available. 

The rain location is the lower level of the nearby Health and Human Services (HHS) Building parking ramp at 855 S. Dubuque St. 

Johnson County’s downtown campus, comprised of the Administration and HHS buildings, along with the Ambulance Service and Medical Examiner Facility, has been recognized as a Bicycle Friendly Business by the League of American Bicyclists since 2017.
