The Johnson County Board of Supervisors is accepting applications for Opioid Settlement Funds Community Grants through 4 p.m. on May 6, 2026, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the community’s response to the opioid crisis.
A total of $200,000 is available for this grant cycle, and individual awards will be approximately $50,000.
Eligible applicants include:
- 501(c)(3) nonprofit or charitable organizations serving Johnson County residents
- Government entities, including county departments, school districts, towns, and cities within Johnson County
Competitive applications will demonstrate specific opioid-related need, measurable impacts, and how the project aligns with Schedule A Core Strategies outlined in the Iowa Opioid Settlement Memorandum of Understanding.
Interested applicants are invited to join an information webinar at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.
Funding for this grant is made available from national opioid settlement agreements. According to the settlement agreements, these funds must be used for opioid abatement efforts.
