The Johnson County Planning, Development and Sustainability Department and the County Assessor’s Office will each close for one business day to move into their permanent locations in the newly remodeled Administration Building, 913 S. Dubuque St., Iowa City.

The Johnson County Board of Supervisors announces two vacancies on the Criminal Justice Coordinating Committee (CJCC), beginning upon appointment. One vacancy is for a resident of unincorporated Johnson County.

The Johnson County Treasurer’s Office and Finance Department will be moving back to the Johnson County Administration Building, 913 S. Dubuque St. Iowa City following the completion of remodel construction.

Johnson County Auditor Travis Weipert has resigned his office as of July 25, 2024, due to personal health reasons.

The Johnson County Board of Supervisors and County Treasurer will hold listening posts during the 2024 Johnson County Fair.

The Board of Supervisors will briefly discuss the Sheriff's Office and Jail space needs assessment report at the work session at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, July 10. A full discussion of the report will follow at a later date.

The Board of Supervisors weekly formal meeting, originally scheduled for Thursday, July 4, 2024, is rescheduled to 9 a.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2024. There will be no work session on Wednesday, July 3.
