The Auditor’s Office mailed annual property taxpayer notification statements last week.   

These tax statements include a typo on the first page. In the upper right-hand corner, the date says 2025-2026.  This should say 2026-2027.  All other information on the tax notification is correct.

The purpose of the statement is to provide taxpayers with information about the proposed city, school district and county budgets in time for the taxpayers to address the proposals at public hearings held before the budgets are approved. The date, time and location of the hearings are included in the statements. 

Taxpayers owning more than one property may receive multiple letters if those properties are in different tax districts. These additional statements will include the correct date range at the top. For more information, contact the Auditor’s Office at 319-356-6004.
