TERMS & CONDITIONS
This contest is administered by the Johnson County Auditor’s Office. Any person who submits a design to the Johnson County Auditor’s Office (hereto referred as “Office”) is legally bound by these terms and conditions.
ELIGIBILITY
The contest is open to residents of Johnson County or those enrolled as a student at a school, college, or university in the county. Employees of the County are not eligible to participate in this contest.
DEADLINES
The submission period begins on April 1, 2026, at 12:00 AM (CT) and will close on July 1, 2026 at 11:59 PM (CT). All entries must be submitted during this submission period to be considered in the contest.
DESIGN & SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Sticker designs must adhere to the following design guidelines:
1. Must include–but are not limited to–the words “I Voted”
2. Must be original artwork (no stock photos, borrowed images, or AI generated images)
3. Must be politically neutral
4. Must not include copyrighted, trademarked, or branded materials
5. Must not include obscene, violent, or defamatory images or words
6. Must be designed using our template or if submitted digitally, must be a 2” diameter circle and must be a .png or .jpeg file
Submissions may be created using graphic design software but cannot include AI generated art to create submissions. Digital submissions should be submitted as .png files or high-resolution .jpeg images.
Submissions may also be hand-drawn using markers, pencils, pens, markers, paint, or other mixed media tools. If submitted by email, paper submissions may be scanned and uploaded as a PDF file.
Submissions will not be acknowledged or returned. Our office is not responsible for incomplete, late, lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, void, corrupted, garbled, illegible, or unintelligible submissions, and such submissions will be void and/or not reviewed.
All submissions must be original pieces of authorship, created by you. You agree to indemnify the Office against any and all claims of infringement from any third party for the Office’s use of your submission.
The Office reserves the right to use any contest participants name, photograph, age, and/or hometown for the purpose of advertising, marketing, or promotion without prior notice or compensation.
By submitting a Sticker Design to the Office, you hereby provide an exclusive, irrevocable, perpetual, and worldwide license to the Office to use, copy, reproduce, alter, distribute, prepare derivative works, and display or publish your Sticker Design in any and all media now known or hereafter devised throughout the world, for any purpose whatsoever, including, but not limited to, marketing and promotional purposes without any additional compensation. The Office reserves the right to use any Contest participant’s Sticker Design, in whole or in part, including any modifications or amendments thereto. Submission of a Sticker Design in the Contest does not obligate the Office to use such Sticker Design. In the event that the Office’s use of the Sticker Design creates trademark, service mark or trade dress rights, the Office shall have an exclusive and irrevocable right in such trademark, service mark, or trade dress.
WINNERS
Contest winners will be selected in two steps.
1. A panel of employees of Johnson County will review all submissions and score them on a scale of 0-30. The identity of the entrant will not be revealed to the panel.
2. The score will be based on the following criteria:
a. Artistic Skill (up to 10 points)
b. Uniqueness of design (up to 10 points)
c. Relevancy to prompt (up to 10 points)
3. 5 finalists will be chosen in each age category by the panel based upon their score. The 5 finalists from each category will be go to a public vote. Public voting will take person at locations across Johnson County and online.
