Keith E. Hora (1918-1991), was born and lived in Iowa City, a graduate of City High School. He served his country proudly between 1941-1945, as a SSgt with the 109th Medical Battalion. During his service time he was awarded four Bronze Stars for Algeria, Tunisian, Naples-Foggia, and Rome-Arno campaigns and the Purple Heart for wounds received at South Abata, Italy.

Keith was married to Emma Louise Davis (USNR). He worked at Iowa-Illinois Gas and Electric for 38 years, retiring in 1983. Being very active in the VFW post 2581, he served in many positions including Commander.
