John Edward Wagner enlisted in to the United States Army at the age of 19 on June 1, 1915 at Oxford, Iowa. Previously he was a full time Farmer.
John served as a Wagoner until completing his military service obligation and being discharged Honorably at Camp Dodge, Iowa April 29, 1919. He was last assigned to Co. K 329th Infantry A.B.O. in support of the American Expeditionary Forces (AEF) commanded by General John Pershing.
