First installment of property taxes due September 1; late payment penalties begin October 1
The first installment of Johnson County property and mobile home taxes is due on Sept. 1, 2026. Other than tax sale redemptions, payments must be delivered to the Treasurer’s Office, paid online or postmarked by Sept. 30 to avoid a 1.5% monthly penalty that will begin Oct. 1.
