Med Info: A resource for Johnson County Health Care Providors

Health care providers and law enforcement are responsible for animal bite reporting within Johnson County. Animal bites should be reported as soon as possible to the appropriate entity listed below.

Use the animal bite reporting form when collecting information from the bite victim and/or animal owner.

A Note for Health Care Providers:
Administering rabies prophylaxis is not necessary unless the animal cannot be captured for observation or testing.
