Ballot issue: Public Measure LX - Change of revenue purpose, local option sales and service tax (50% required)
Shall the following public measure be adopted?
Summary: To authorize a change in the use of the one percent (1%) local sales and services tax in the City of Hills, effective from July 1, 2015 until June 30, 2025.
The use of the one percent (1%) local sales and services tax shall be changed in the City of Hills effective February 5, 2020.
PROPOSED USE OF THE TAX:
If the change is approved, revenues from the sales and services tax shall be allocated as follows:
0% for direct property tax relief
The specific purposes for which the revenues shall otherwise be expended are:
100% for improvement of streets, sidewalks, storm sewers, sanitary sewer systems, public potable water systems, parks, economic development, upkeep and improvement of City-owned properties and any lawful purposes of the City of Hills, Iowa.
CURRENT USE OF THE TAX:
Revenues from the sales and services tax are currently allocated as follows:
0% for direct property tax relief.
The specific purposes for which the revenues are otherwise expended are:
100% for the improvement of streets, sidewalks, storm sewers, sanitary sewer systems, public potable water systems, and parks.

Shall the City of Tiffin, Iowa be authorized to increase
the Tiffin Public Library support levy amount from 10 cents per $1000 of
assessed valuation to 27 cents per $1000 of assessed valuation for the purpose
